With time ticking down, the couple are in a race to find the answers they need before they lose everything. Can they regain what they once had? And will it restore who they once were

MY REVIEW:

“The only thing I have room for in this head of mine right now is the firm belief that fate absolutely exists. Fate…soul mates…time travel…you name it. It all exists. Because that’s what her kiss feels like. Existence.”

Since this book is too short too (despite the agony of waiting for the next installments to come) I’m going to make my review short. And this is a spoiler-free review. Feel free to check my thoughts about the first two books on the link found at the end of this review. Thankieee. :*

Unwillingly. Unwittingly.
But not unprovoked.
Kit Isley is everything she’s not—unstructured, untethered,
and not even a little bit careful.
It could all be so beautiful … if he wasn’t dating her best friend.
Helena must defy her heart, do the right thing, and think of others.
Until she doesn’t.

MY REVIEW:

“Let people feel the weight of who you really are, and let them fucking deal with it.”

DEAL

Hands down to this book because it’s such an honest book with authentic characters. Tarryn Fisher doesn’t expect us to like the main character because even I myself have a hard time liking the fact that Helena suddenly fell in love with her best friend’s man because of a dream! But even so, Tarryn crafted Helena into a surprisingly unpredictable character that I have grown to appreciate and root for as the book goes on.

I like how this book doesn’t try to give us perfect characters with perfectly good personalities. They all have flaws, drawbacks and weaknesses about themselves that they struggle to vanquish. Some of their decisions were annoying but I was okay with it. Though I am not fan of the romance between Kit and Helena, I enjoyed how the love they have and the situation they are in made them better people.

The story line as a whole was enticing and Helena was such a relatable character. Sometimes it’s best to live your way without ever thinking what others would say about you. It’s best not to lose yourself in the battle of finding who you are and saving yourself from losing who you are and becoming whom you’re not because of the people around us.

Tarryn Fisher did an amazing job in bringing us out a realistic NA contemporary romance with the vibe of rooting for the main character’s happily ever after even you are on a binge cringe because of the complicated situation they’re in. Continue reading “F*CK LOVE”

MY REVIEW

“Jamais Jamais.”

Okay. Colleen and Tarryn, Queens of cliffhangers. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT’S GONNA HAPPEN. THIS IS SUFFERING! AND TO THINK THAT THE PART THREE OF IT WON’T COME OUT ‘TIL NEXT YEAR. I KENNOT WAIT!

This book is like a puzzle, a maze or a riddle. I’m trying to come out with an intelligent guess of why these things are happening. How these things would end. Who’s causing it. How to stop it. It’s still a mystery to me.

There isn’t much revelations revealed in this part but at least we got some new information. But as we get glimpse of new answers that may solve this thing, more questions arise. This book is compelling and will make you lose your sanity.

MY REVIEW:

4 mind-blowing stars!!

Strange book. I was intrigued and curious when I first pick this up. Now I’ve gotten more curious than before. And I REGRET NOTHING. So excited for part two. I KENNOT.

This is the first time I’ve read a collaboration work. I’ve been pretty much aware of Colleen Hoover’s popularity and I have read 2 of her books yet and they were really awesome. On the other hand, this is the first time that I’ve read a work of Tarryn Fisher. AND HANDS DOWN TO BOTH OF THEM because these two really know how to entice a reader.

To be honest I have no idea about what this book is about. When I first read it I thought it was a simple contemporary romance. BUT I WAS PROVEN WRONG. This book has so much more to offer. I KID YOU NOT. This is a very intriguing book because it’s UNPREDICTABLE and you WILL NEVER COME UP WITH ANSWERS ON YOUR OWN, unless we have come to read the final book, which is I don’t know when will come out.

Anyway, so this is about Silas Nash and Charlize Wynwood. They were bestfriends since childhood and now sweethearts in highschool. This book is set in New Orleans, Louisiana. The story opened in a mysterious WTF way. Charlie doesn’t remember Silas. And Silas doesn’t remember Charlie. But they have to act that they do otherwise the others will find it weird. They also don’t remember everyone around them. Their family, their friends. And the thing is, they have broken up already. But they don’t know why. They don’t know why they have forgotten everything, or if they ever want to remember.

I cannot spill out the details of the book because it will really spoil those who haven’t read it. But basically, it revolves around Charlie and Silas working together to figure out why they keep on forgetting everything that happened after the time reached 48 hours.

This is like a mystery romance book written in an exciting and compelling way. Silas is written by Colleen while Charlie is written by Tarryn. The answers they uncover leads to a series of another questions. WHICH IS FRUSTRATING IN THE PART OF THE READERS!! There were lots of cliffhangers and this book is way too short, it’s less than 200 pages. Imagine the agony of waiting.

I am excited to read part two and I wish the mystery will soon be resolve ’cause I cannot sleep.
