BOOK SIGNING RECAP: Sarah J. Maas in PH

Sarah J. Maas

Seems like yesterday when I first read her book and fell in love with her style of writing. Throne of Glass series is a phenomenal bad ass book and A Court of Thorns and Roses is a book with an enchanting story and a deep allegiance to true love. Sarah J. Maas has magic in her that made her one of my all time favorite authors. And up to now, I’m so happy for the opportunity to finally meet her and thank her for making an epic fantasy story that helped me see the world not what as it is, but what lies underneath it.

It took me a week to post this recap since I was busy with school works 😀 But now here’s my recap of the amazing book signing of the #1 New York Times best selling author, Sarah J. Maas here in the Philippines organized by none other than, National Bookstore 🙂 They did a stellar job in organizing this event and it was different from the previous book signings organized by them which I have attended to.

MY THOUGHTS:

I am so excited for this event because ever since I’ve read Red Queen, Victoria Aveyard has easily become one of my favorite authors. I LOVE RED QUEEN and I’m really anticipating Glass Sword this coming February. I’ve been offered by a friend an ebook ARC of Glass Sword but up to know, I never tried to read it. Because I really want to read it from the actual book. (hihi)

And also I’m about to graduate in my degree in coming April and woops, this book signing is the best graduation gift aside from completing my years of stuDYING ft. endless sleepless nights and loads of school works. But to be honest, I’ll really miss being a student. They say it’s scary out there, in the real world. In some point of my life, I want to meet all the people who inspire me along the way. Especially the authors who paved the way for me to start writing. *bla bla bla sorry for the ramblings. I should make a segment about these things soon 🙂

So anyway for those who haven’t read this book, Red Queen takes place in a fantasy setting where people are divided into different groups, depending on the color of their blood. The silver blooded are blessed with extraordinary powers and live in the lap of luxury, whilst those with red blood are victims of extreme poverty and are treated as inferiors to the Silvers. Mare Barrow is a 17 year old Red girl, but through extreme circumstances discovers that despite the shade of her blood, she possesses an ability no one, not even a Silver, has ever seen before.
